A little introduction from me 🖤

Hey guys! I’m Leonie.

I thought I’d better properly introduce myself and tell you a little bit about how this crazy idea all came about…

Mam. Dog Mam. Wife. Full-time worker. Recently diagnosed ADHD brain. And professional starter of approximately 76,589 projects at once.

The chaos crew

This is us.

Outside of ThatChaosMama, life is already very full. I’m a wife to Kieran, Mam to Mia and Dog Mam to Nala. I also work 8–5, five days a week, so there never seems to be a quiet moment or an empty to-do list.

For years, I tried to keep everything in my head: work, home, appointments, meals, money, birthdays and the hundreds of tiny jobs that come with running a family. Even when I appeared organised, I was constantly thinking about what I might have forgotten. By the end of most days, I felt completely drained.

I knew I wanted life to feel lighter for my family. Not perfect or always organised — just less overwhelming, with more time and energy for the people I love. I also knew I couldn’t be the only person feeling this way. That was when a small idea began to grow…

“My brain has 76,589 tabs open — and somehow the one I actually need has disappeared.”
01
The honest beginning

I wasn’t bad at life. My brain was overloaded.

I’ve struggled to keep track of everything for as long as I can remember. I would download a new app or start another subscription thinking, right, this is it — new system, new me.

Then I’d forget it existed, cancel it because it wasn’t what was advertised, or realise it only tracked one little part of life when I needed somewhere for all of it.

The plans, lists and good intentions were always there. Keeping hold of them was the problem.

02
Then something clicked

My ADHD diagnosis helped things make sense.

I was recently diagnosed with ADHD and started medication. By my second dose, I felt amazing — positive, productive and ready to clean my entire house and de-hoard everything I had ever accumulated.

Obviously, my brain also wanted to begin another 76,589 projects while doing it.

But underneath that burst of energy was something important: I felt creative again. Instead of only seeing everything I struggled with, I started thinking about what I could build from it.

03
So I built what I needed

That’s where CHAOS began.

I wanted one place for the everyday things my brain was carrying — tasks, meals, shopping, family dates, pets, movement and all the random thoughts that usually disappear five seconds after I have them.

Not another app that expected me to become an entirely different person before it could help. Something made for real, chaotic life. Something useful, forgiving and easy to come back to even when you’ve forgotten about it for a few days.

That idea became the CHAOS app, and then the printable planners, tools and bigger ThatChaosMama world started growing around it.

04
More than getting organised

I want this to feel like home.

ThatChaosMama isn’t about having a perfect routine, a spotless house or a colour-coded life. I want it to be somewhere people come and instantly feel understood.

A place where we can support one another, lean on each other and laugh about the chaotic things — because, honestly, if we don’t laugh, we’ll cry.

You don’t have to be a Mam or have ADHD to belong here. If your brain is busy, life is a lot and you’d like a little less to remember, you’re welcome.

The big dream

From one chaotic home to chaotic humans worldwide.

I’d love CHAOS to become something people use all over the world. Big dreams? Absolutely. But this whole thing started because I finally let myself believe my ADHD brain could create something brilliant — even if it did try to create everything else at the same time.

For now, I’m building it one useful thing, one laugh and one slightly chaotic day at a time.

With love, Leonie 🖤
